Welcome to University Health System Children’s Health. In partnership with the Department of Pediatrics at The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio School of Medicine, our goal is to provide the children of Bexar County and South Texas with the highest level of comprehensive care.
From routine check-ups and immunizations, to advanced care for even the most serious medical problems and injuries, you can trust the experts at University Health System and UT Kids to take care of your child as they would their own.
Our collaboration with UT Kids is first and foremost about keeping children well by providing great preventive care close to home. Unfortunately, serious illness and injury strikes children across South Texas every day. So our second most important mission is to be here for them with the right level of care, in the right location, when they need us most. University Health System Children’s Health includes a permanent home for UT Kids pediatric specialties at our beautiful new Robert B. Green Campus downtown, as well as a transition plan to offer inpatient pediatrics at University Hospital.
University Health System is extremely proud to be South Texas’ first and only Magnet designated healthcare organization. This recognition, by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, is the “gold standard” in measuring the quality of care that patients can expect to receive.
The UT Health Science Center Department of Pediatrics is proud of its role as educators of both the current and next generation of healthcare providers, as providers of cutting-edge clinical care, as researchers unlocking the doors to new knowledge, and as advocates for our society’s most precious asset — our children.
