Welcome to University Health System Children’s Health. In partnership with the Department of Pediatrics at The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio School of Medicine, our goal is to provide the children of Bexar County and South Texas with the highest level of comprehensive care.
From routine check-ups and immunizations, to advanced care for even the most serious medical problems and injuries, you can trust the experts at University Health System and UT Kids to take care of your child as they would their own.
Our collaboration with UT Kids is about keeping children well by providing preventive care close to home. Unfortunately, serious illness and injury strikes children across South Texas every day. That’s why you can count on us to be here for them with the right level of care, in the right location, when they need us most.
University Health System Children’s Health program includes dozens of pediatric specialists providing outpatient care for kids on the 1st and 6th floors of the beautiful and state-of-the-art Robert B. Green Campus downtown. If your child needs advanced hospital care or a surgical procedure, you’ll find experts you can trust – specialists on the very leading edge of their fields – at University Hospital, in both the new Sky Tower and the Horizon Tower.
University Health System is extremely proud to be South Texas’ first and only Magnet designated healthcare organization. This recognition, by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, is the “gold standard” in measuring the quality of care that patients can expect to receive.
The UT Health Science Center Department of Pediatrics is proud of its role as educators of both the current and next generation of healthcare providers, as providers of cutting-edge clinical care, as researchers unlocking the doors to new knowledge, and as advocates for our society’s most precious asset — our children.
